The Competitions and Operations Department of the South American Football Confederation announced that the draw for the Group Stage of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina 2026 will take place on Monday, September 14, at 12:30 p.m. local time, at CONMEBOL headquarters in Luque, Paraguay.
The continental tournament will be played in Ecuador from October 15 to 31, 2026.
The draw will be broadcast live on the CONMEBOL Libertadores YouTube channel.
CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina 2026 competition format
The CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina 2026 will be played in two stages: the Preliminary Stage (Group Stage) and the Final Stage (Quarter-finals, Semi-finals and Final).
All stages will be played in a single round of matches.
The Preliminary Stage will feature the 16 qualified teams, divided into four groups of four teams each. The composition of the four groups will be determined by the result of the draw organised by CONMEBOL.
The top two teams in each group will qualify for the Quarter-finals.

CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina 2026 draw procedure
The seeded teams for each group of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina 2026 will be determined as follows:
- Group A (Position A1) - The champion of the most recent edition of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina 2025 will automatically occupy this position. (Sport Club Corinthians Paulista – BRA)
- Group B (Position B1) - The national champion of the host country will automatically occupy this position. (Independiente del Valle – ECU 1)
- Groups C and D (Positions C1 and D1) - The two teams representing the best-placed Member Associations according to the previous edition of the tournament will be drawn to determine which one will be seeded in Group C and which one in Group D. (Representative of Colombia 1 and Cruzeiro Esporte Clube - BRA 2)
Pot 1 will contain the two teams representing the best-placed Member Associations according to the final standings of the previous edition of the tournament, excluding the additional berths awarded through the historical ranking. They will be drawn to determine the seeded teams for Groups C and D. The first ball drawn will be assigned to the seeded position in Group C, while the second will be assigned to the seeded position in Group D. Pot 2 will contain the four teams representing the next best-placed Member Associations according to the final standings of the previous edition of the tournament. They will occupy position 2 in each group, excluding the additional berths awarded through the historical ranking. The first ball drawn will be assigned to position A2, the second to B2, the third to C2 and the fourth to D2. (Club Social y Deportivo Colo-Colo – CHI 1; Club Libertad - PAR 1; Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito - ECU 2 and C.A. Belgrano - ARG)
Pot 3 will contain the four teams representing the next best-placed Member Associations according to the final standings of the previous edition of the tournament. They will occupy position 3 in each group, excluding the additional berths awarded through the historical ranking. The first ball drawn will be assigned to position A3, the second to B3, the third to C3 and the fourth to D3. (Universitario de Deportes - PER; Nacional de Football – URU; Caracas F.C. – VEN and Club Bolívar - BOL)
Pot 4 will contain the four teams representing the Member Associations that earned an additional berth through the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina historical ranking. These teams will occupy position 4 in each group. The first ball drawn will be assigned to position A4, the second to B4, the third to C4 and the fourth to D4. (Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras – BRA 3; Representative of Colombia 2; Universidad de Chile – CHI 2 and Club Olimpia - PAR 2)
NOTE: At this stage, two teams from the same country cannot be drawn into the same group. Therefore, if this occurs, the team drawn will be moved to the next group and another team will be drawn for that group.
