Terms and Conditions – CONMEBOL Platforms
These terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) govern the use of websites, mobile applications and other digital services (collectively, the “CONMEBOL Platforms”) that publish or link to these Terms and Conditions and are operated by the South American Football Confederation and/or CONMEBOL (“CONMEBOL”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
The CONMEBOL Platforms include, but are not limited to, the official websites and applications of CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana.
Languages. Official versions will be available in Spanish, Portuguese and English. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version shall prevail.
Related documents. Use of the CONMEBOL Platforms is complemented by the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
CONMEBOL may include additional provisions applicable to specific CONMEBOL Platforms. In the event of conflict between these Terms and any specific rules published on a Platform, the specific rules shall prevail.
1. Acceptance of the Terms
1.1 By accessing, downloading, installing or using the CONMEBOL Platforms, whether as a registered user or not, you declare that you have read and accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you are not authorized to use the Platforms.
1.2 CONMEBOL may modify these Terms at any time. Please review this page periodically. Continued use of the Platforms after changes implies acceptance of those changes.
2. Registration and Eligibility
2.1 Certain areas or features (“Restricted Areas”) require registration. By registering you declare that:
- you are at least 18 years old
- the information provided is true, accurate and complete
2.2 Registration of minors under 18 years old is not permitted, even with parental consent.
2.3 If the information provided is false, inaccurate or incomplete, CONMEBOL may suspend or cancel your account.
2.4 The same login credentials may be used across different CONMEBOL Platforms where login functionality is enabled.
2.5 Mobile applications must be downloaded through third-party distribution platforms (such as app stores), whose use is governed by separate agreements with those providers.
3. Login through third-party authentication services
3.1 If you use a third-party authentication service, CONMEBOL may receive certain Personal Information from that provider.
3.2 If you terminate your relationship with that third party or change your data permissions, CONMEBOL may need to remove certain data required to operate your account.
4. Account, Password and Security
4.1 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and all activities carried out under your account.
4.2 You agree to immediately notify CONMEBOL of any unauthorized use of your account or security breach.
5. Access by Children and Adolescents
CONMEBOL is committed to the safety and privacy of its users. Registration of minors under the age of 18 is not permitted.
The Platforms may include content or features that require adult supervision. Legal guardians are responsible for determining whether the content is appropriate.
6. Content
6.1 The Platforms include:
- CONMEBOL Content
- User Content (“User Contributions”)
6.2 CONMEBOL Content is owned by CONMEBOL or used under license and is provided solely for personal, non-commercial use.
6.3 You are solely responsible for your User Contributions and must ensure they do not violate applicable laws or third-party rights.
6.4 CONMEBOL acts as a publishing platform and does not assume responsibility for User Contributions.
6.5 By publishing content you grant CONMEBOL a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use such content in connection with the Platforms and promotional activities.
7. Games, Contests and Interactive Experiences
Participation in games, predictors, fantasy competitions or other interactive experiences available on the CONMEBOL Platforms will be governed by these Terms, the specific rules of each Game and any related explanatory materials published on the relevant Platform.
Participation requires a registered account and is limited to individuals aged 18 or older.
CONMEBOL may suspend, modify or cancel any Game when circumstances require it.
8. Trademarks and Intellectual Property
The CONMEBOL logo, as well as the names CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamericana and CONMEBOL Recopa, are trademarks and intellectual property owned by CONMEBOL and protected by international law.
Nothing on the Platforms grants any license or right to use such intellectual property except as expressly permitted in these Terms.
9. Changes to the Platforms
CONMEBOL may modify, suspend or discontinue the Platforms or their content at any time, temporarily or permanently, without prior notice.
10. Privacy
To create an account, users may be asked to provide their name, email address, date of birth and country of residence.
These data are used to manage accounts and improve the user experience.
By using the Platforms you acknowledge and accept the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
11. Disclaimer
The Platforms and Content are provided “as is” and “as available”. CONMEBOL does not guarantee uninterrupted service or that the Platforms will be error-free.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold CONMEBOL harmless from any claims arising from your breach of these Terms.
13. Limitation of Liability
CONMEBOL shall not be liable for any losses or damages arising from your use of the Platforms except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
14. Termination
CONMEBOL may terminate or restrict your access to the Platforms at any time, with or without notice.
15. Notices
Any updates to these Terms will be published on the CONMEBOL Platforms.
16. General Provisions
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and CONMEBOL regarding the use of the Platforms.
17. Applicable Law
These Terms and the relationship between you and CONMEBOL shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Paraguay.
