The fate of the 32 teams was revealed in the Group Stage draw held on March 19 at CONMEBOL’s headquarters in Luque, Paraguay. With the حضور of two legends—Colombian René Higuita and Uruguayan Diego Godín—the clubs learned their opponents as they set out in pursuit of qualification for the next round.
In each group, teams will battle for the top spot, which grants direct qualification to the Round of 16. The runner-up will have to fight for a place in the Round of 16 against a third-placed team from a CONMEBOL Libertadores group.
Group A: América de Cali (Colombia), Tigre (Argentina), Macará (Ecuador), and Alianza Atlético (Peru)
Group B: Atlético Mineiro (Brazil), Cienciano (Peru), Academia Puerto Cabello (Venezuela), and Juventud (Uruguay)
Group C: São Paulo (Brazil), Millonarios (Colombia), Boston River (Uruguay), and O’Higgins (Chile)
Group D: Santos (Brazil), San Lorenzo (Argentina), Deportivo Cuenca (Ecuador), and Recoleta (Paraguay)
Group E: Racing (Argentina), Caracas (Venezuela), Independiente (Bolivia), and Botafogo (Brazil)
Group F: Grêmio (Brazil), Palestino (Chile), Montevideo City Torque (Uruguay), and Deportivo Riestra (Argentina)
Group G: Olimpia (Paraguay), Vasco da Gama (Brazil), Audax Italiano (Chile), and Barracas Central (Argentina)
Group H: River Plate (Argentina), Red Bull Bragantino (Brazil), Blooming (Bolivia), and Carabobo (Venezuela)
The CONMEBOL Sudamericana Group Stage will kick off on Tuesday, April 7, with the first matchday taking place that week. The remaining fixtures are scheduled as follows:

Following the draw that will determine the Round of 16 Playoffs and the Round of 16 matchups, the knockout stages of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana will begin on July 21.
