The 2026 CONMEBOL Sudamericana final will be held on November 21 in Barranquilla, as confirmed by the CONMEBOL Council during the tournament draw conducted this Thursday, March 19, at the organization’s headquarters in Luque, Paraguay. For the first time in history, the city will stage the competition’s title match.

The 32 qualified teams, divided into eight groups of four, already know their path through the Group Stage and the destination they will have to reach if they advance to the final. Only two clubs will contest the decisive showdown in a tournament that continues to grow in competitiveness, reach, and prestige across the continent.

It will also mark the first time Colombia hosts a single-match final since the format was introduced in 2019 for both the CONMEBOL Libertadores and the CONMEBOL Sudamericana. ‘La Puerta de Oro de Colombia’ previously hosted the first leg of the 2018 CONMEBOL Sudamericana final, when Junior de Barranquilla drew 1–1 with Athletico Paranaense at the Estadio Metropolitano, in a tie that was ultimately decided on penalties in favor of the Brazilian side.

Barranquilla, a city renowned for its passion for football, festive atmosphere, and strong cultural identity, is preparing to welcome thousands of fans from across the continent. The city also regularly hosts the Colombian national team, which played all of its recent FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying matches at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez, one of the country’s most iconic venues.
